Cakes and sweets made on the island are also popular and many tourists
do take them home to give away as gifts. They are mainly made with
almonds and therefore very rich.
To wash everything down, a good wine is necessary. Fortunately,
Sardinia produces a large quantity of different wines. To name but
a few, the Malvasia, the Moscato and the Nuragus are probably familiar
names to wine lovers world-wide.
